- The N.Y.S.C. program must be completed by all applicants, and the maximum age for master’s degrees is 35, and for doctoral degrees, it is 40. Only Y.S.C. discharge or exemption certificates, as well as documentation showing that an employer is prepared to release an applicant, are accepted.
