Applications for the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Programme for the 2024–2025 academic year are now being accepted. Students from developing Commonwealth nations have the opportunity to study at the University of Edinburgh with full funding. Qualification Standards
Applicants must fulfil the following requirements in order to be considered for the University of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme:
Citizenship: Candidates must be citizens of a Commonwealth nation that qualifies, or they must have been granted refugee status by one.
Residency: Candidates must be citizens of a Commonwealth nation that qualifies for aid.
Academic requirements: Candidates must have a first degree with at least an upper second-class (2:1) honours standard by September 2024, or a lower second-class degree (2:2) plus an appropriate postgraduate qualification (often a Master’s degree).
Study or Work Experience: Candidates should not have spent more than a year studying or working in a nation with a high standard of living.
Financial Need: Recipients must be in need of this scholarship in order to be able to attend a UK university.
Supporting Documentation: All necessary supporting documentation must be submitted by applicants in the prescribed format.

Benefits of Scholarships
The University of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Programme is fully funded and pays for the following costs:
Tuition: The scholarship will pay for all of the study program’s tuition costs.
Travel Costs: The scholarship covers round-trip airfare to and from the UK.
Accommodation and Maintenance: For the length of the academic year 2023–2024, successful applicants will receive £1,347 per month to help with living expenses and housing costs.

About the United Kingdom’s Commonwealth Scholarship Commission
Britain’s contribution to the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP) is overseen by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) in the United Kingdom.
