For the 2025 academic year, candidates are encouraged to apply for the Taiwan International Graduate Scholarship. International Ph.D. candidates are eligible to apply for the Taiwan International Graduate Scholarship 2025–2026. The scholarship is open to international students in Taiwan from all around the world. The initiative is run by Academia Sinica in collaboration with Taiwan’s national research universities. English is the language of the 2025 TIGP scholarship. The TIGP 2025 application does not need payment of an application fee. The TIGP PhD fellowship is intended for PhD programs, and qualified candidates are strongly urged to apply.
Academia Sinica offers postgraduate degree programs in a variety of subjects and majors for study. Thirteen sub-programs are available under the Taiwan International Graduate Scholarship 2025. Only one TIGP scholarship program may be applied for by each applicant. Taiwan International Graduate Scholarship 2025 Eligibility Requirements:
- With the exception of China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, applicants may come from anywhere in the world.
- Both a bachelor’s and, if applicable, a master’s degree are required of applicants.
- Candidates must submit results from English language proficiency tests; applicants from English-speaking nations or those who graduated from universities where English is the primary language of teaching are excluded.
- Candidates must fulfill the prerequisites of the program for which they are applying.
The Taiwan International Graduate Scholarship 2025’s Advantages:
- Students can receive financial assistance to study in Taiwan through the Taiwan International Scholarship.

- Three recommendation letters, including one from your advisor

- Statement of purpose
- Abstract of your thesis, with the name of the thesis advisor and their official website. Don’t submit the entire thesis.
