The Eligibility Criteria for the GEM Fellowship Program:
Overall Standards:

Advantages of the GEM Fellowship Program for the academic year 2024-25:
Regarding the pursuit of a Master’s Degree:
Employer Fellows (Applicants must be chosen by an employer):
- Each participant will receive a $4,000 living stipend every semester, which will be provided for a maximum of 4 semesters.
- All employer fellows will receive a minimum stipend of $16,000 for the duration of the master’s program.
- GEM employer fellows will receive two fully compensated summer internships with a GEM Employer Member.
- Participants will get complete coverage of tuition and fees from a GEM University Member.
University Fellows
- The GEM Member University will cover the whole cost of tuition and fees for all university fellows.
Associate Fellows:
- Every GEM associate fellow will be granted complete coverage of tuition and fees by the GEM Member University.
- Master fellows will receive a minimum stipend of $8,000 per year for pursuing a master’s degree offered by the GEM Member University.
- PhD fellows will receive a minimum income of $16,000 per year for the duration of their full PhD degree, which is funded by the GEM Member University.
For a doctoral degree (PhD):
Employer Fellows (Applicants must be chosen by an employer):
- Each employer fellow will receive a stipend of $16,000 per academic year.
- In addition to their regular stipends, fellows will receive supplementary funding (such as grants, assistantships, and other stipend dollars) from the GEM Member University to bring their total amount of funding up to the level of other sponsored PhD programs. GEM employer fellows will also be awarded a paid summer internship with a GEM Employer Member.
- Recipients will receive complete coverage of tuition and expenses for a maximum duration of five years throughout their PhD program.
Associate Fellows:
- Every GEM associate fellow will receive complete coverage of tuition and fees from the GEM Member University.
- Master fellows will receive a minimum stipend of $8,000 per year for pursuing a master’s degree offered by a GEM Member University.
- PhD fellows will receive a minimum income of $16,000 per year for the duration of their full PhD degree, which is funded by the GEM Member University.
